Personal psychotherapy and/or analysis is considered good practice in our field. As such, many psychotherapists and psychoanalysts find themselves with mental health colleagues as patients. Some even specialize in being a “therapist of therapists.” Given that we are a large patient population, why are the ethical challenges and gratifications involved in these treatments not discussed?
